Things to know:
You will be expected to stop celebrating the Pagan Holidays some of which are: Sunday, Saint Valentines Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Lent, Ash Wednesday, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
You will be expected to celebrate the following: The weekly Sabbath [(Saturday) sunset Friday until sunset Saturday], Rosh Chodesh (The Monthly Sabbath), and the yearly Sabbaths, The Hebrew New Year Rosh Hashanah (Abib 1st), Yom Zikhronot (the day before Pass Over), Pesach (Pass over), and Feast of unleavened bread, Shavuot (Feast of Weeks), Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur (The day of Atonement), Sukkot, (Feast of Tabernacles), and Shemini Atzeret (The Last Great Feast).
You may celebrate the Following, January 1 (secular New Year), Pesach Sheni, Lag B'Omer, Memorial Day, Fast of Tammuz, U.S. Independence Day 4th of July, other National Independence Days, Fast of 9th of Av, Labor Day, Simchat Torah (re-rolling of the Torah Scroll), Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Chanukah (feast of lights), Fast of Esther, and Purim.
Males over the age of 13 are required to keep their head covered at all times. (see head coverings) unless it interferes with them doing their job for which they are hired to do. Also males are required not to shave or cut their beards in any way unless it would interfere with their safety on their job; at which time they should seek employment where it would not interfere with their job. DO NOT QUITE THE OLD JOB UNTIL A NEW ONE HAS BEEN SECURED !
All members are expected to dress modestly. (see dress code)
All members are asked to Tithe. ( see tithing)
Head coverings: Men, a small cap called in English "Scull Cap" in Hebrew "Kippah" plural "Kippot" should be worn by all males at all times. Women should wear a head scarf when making a blessing of any kind.
Pray Shawl/ Pray Vest: Males over the age of 13 should either wear one at all times or at least have close at hand.
Tithing: Standard Tithing is a minimum of ten percent (10%) of everything you receive. (see everything you receive) All tithing money will be used for the business of the Congregation. Funds shall be used to purchase Real Estate, Livestock, build buildings, and to help the needy. No funds shall be used as "Pay Roll" or "salaries" until after one year after the Main Headquarters building is build.
Everything you receive: Includes each day of your life. In other words 24 hours every day. Tithing of that is 2.4 hours per day or 16.8 hours per week. On Sabbath you should give at least 12 hours (sun up to sun set, not a hour by the clock). That leaves 4.8 hours to use for Yahuah during the rest of the week. This is a minimum requirement, not the maximum. Everything you receive also includes that of which you receive anything of value. Paying cash is considered the easy way out so if you fail to give Yahuah his appropriate time you may figure the time you did not give at 1.5 times your regular job pay per hour and send that to the Congregation, or to the above address. Once the main Head Quarters is built it is preferable that each congregation or person send goods in stead of money except for those thing for which you receive money as payment then the ten percent (10%) is expected. For farmers and ranchers, Livestock, (Cattle, Horses, Goats, Sheep) from every female that gives birth for the first time and gives birth to a male that male shall be sent to the main headquarters once it is built. Plus one out of every ten from the rest of the herds. For poultry you are expceted to give the first male hatched from a hatching plus Ten percent (10%) of the rest of the hatching. Ten percent (10%) of all grain and Hay you produce should also be sent to the main Headquarters. Ten percent (10%) of all Berries, Fruit, Garden produce, Field produce, and nuts should be sent to the main headquarters. (Notice should the main headquarters be so far away that fresh produce would be spoiled before it can reach the main headquarters sell it and send the cash to the main headquarters.)
(notice dress codes are a guide line for modesty as well as respectful dressing, they are subject to change and are not strictly enforced outside the Synagogue or Schools.)
Dress Codes:
Men: Men shall wear men's
clothing's not women's clothing. Mens paints are paints which have
a "fly" whether button, zipper, or other means of closure in front.
Above the waist: Clothing shall be worn so as to cover
all skin from the waist or lower garment to the shoulders. The chest
shall be covered any time a person is outside the house. The upper
garment shall cover all skin from the waist or lower garment to the shoulders.
The neck opening area maybe open from at least half way of the shoulders
and the top of the breast upward. All garments must be none see through
from the front. "T shirts" are acceptable provided they have not been altered
so that the chest may be seen and/ or an undershirt is worn. "Muscle
and net shirts are not acceptable.
Below the waist: Long pants are preferred and shall be
worn to Synagogue. Shorts may not be worn to Synagogue but may be worn
out side the house. Shorts must be long enough or tight enough so when
a person sits or bends over neither the crotch or buttock can be seen.
Shorts that are to be worn outside the house should be of a length
such as the hem shall be half way between the knee and the bend of the thigh
and body. Swimwear, the above standards shall remain in effect except
the length of the leg covering, however the same rules apply as to the fact
that the swim shorts must be long enough or tight enough so when a person
sits or bends over neither the crotch or buttock can be seen. Garments may
not be see through.
Women: Women shall wear women's clothing not men's clothing.
Above the waist: Clothing shall be worn so as to cover all skin from the waist or lower garment to the shoulders. The neck opening area may be open from at least half way of the shoulders and the top of the breast upward. Sleeves shall be of enough length that the chest area may not be seen when the arms are moved in any position. All garments must be none see through from the front.
Below the waist: Women may
wear slacks made for women, however dresses are preferred in public and
Synagogue. Dresses shall be of a length long enough that when the arms
are raised above the head the hem shall not rise more than a hands width
above the center of the knee. Shorts may not be worn to Synagogue
but may be worn out side the house. Shorts must be long enough or tight
enough so when a person sits or bends over neither the crotch or buttock
can be seen. Shorts that are to be worn outside the house shall be
of a length such as the hem shall be half way between the knee and the bend
of the thigh and body. Swimwear, must cover the crotch, buttock, and
breast and may not be see through. A small attached skirt is recommended.
The leg area of the swimsuit may not come up on the side or show any
of the buttock when standing or sitting.
